In a statement personally signed by him, “That baba rested at the ripe age of 93, today, 2nd of January 2022 is something we shouldn’t be sad about. We all know nobody loves to lose a loved one, but the growth Ibadan witnessed under the kingship of Baba, Oba Saliu Adetunji since he became the 41st Olubadan in March 2016, should excite us as we celebrate his transition to higher glory”.

“Baba was a great business man, a developer of the ancient city, a promoter of excellence, as we can see what he did in the career trajectory of K1 De Ultimate and some others, so we should celebrate him rather than be sad. Personally, I condole with my brother and friend, Prince Jerry K and Emeka, one of Baba’s adopted Igbo sons. Kabiyesi was tolerant of other tribes, people and religions. I bid him farewell and we pray God forgives his sins and grant him eternal rest”

Ademola, a Siba-Ibadan titled chief and a 2023 hopeful for the Ibadan South West/North West seat at the Federal House of Representatives, is a business man and social entrepreneur who is well loved at home and beyond for his developmental activities across the city of Ibadan and has continued to push for the renewal of Ibadan and the reclaim of the Oyo State Pacesetter title, with his promotion of activities and projects that drives that agitation.
